The Best Movies Starring Or Featuring Samuel L Jackson
Every time the discussion came about actors who seem to appear in every film, the one person who always jumps into my mind is, of course, Samuel L. Jackson. When was the last time you saw a movie that did not have it in him? The guy was all over the place! Not that this is a bad thing,. Actually I am grateful to Mr. Jackson and his very dedicated work ethic
This article will highlight my top five favorite Samuel L. Jackson movies of all time.
in Coach Carter, Samuel L. Jackson plays the title character, who is a controversial basketball coach who cares more about the welfare of their children than the game itself. Based on a true story, this film is incredibly inspiring.
The second film that he is definitely worth seeing, Snakes on a Plane. Ok, so maybe this is not definitely worth seeing, but if the price on top of the ridiculous plot lines, it would not be any better than this. I'm not sure why this movie was so enjoyable, but it was.
is one movie where Samuel L. Jackson plays that I thoroughly enjoyed the Basic. This psychological thriller military and stars John Travolta and has so many twists, which is almost laughable. If you like movies with twists, it's definitely worth watching. Do not worry I promise I did not ruin anything for you.
Second Samuel L. Jackson, who was great, but was limited in its edition Black snake moan. This is quite a controversial film, which also stars Christina Ricci and takes place in the Deep South.
One final film, which I feel is worth mentioning is the negotiator. This film also stars Kevin Spacey as good as movies get the hostage negotiations.
As it stands, this is my list of Samuel L. Jackson. But with a man putting out almost 4 films a year, it's just a matter of time before other paper is due.
Top 5 Tom Hanks Movies
Tom Hanks is probably the best actor of our time. He has played various roles in a number of excellent films. To narrow down your 'best' films up to 5 is not an easy task. However, I'll give it a go.
When taking into account the quality of the film and the quality of his work, and the top five:
5 Castaway
This is a great love story. No plane crash was an awesome action sequence. And Hanks is remarkable in the island, and when he gets back to civilization.
In this film must be the only time in the history of films that viewers a grown man crying over losing the ball.
4 Big
This Hanks film put on the map. More was known as "cross-dresser with a Boss Friends ".
Hanks stars as 13 (or so) year old boy who tries to succeed in New York after he changed into a grown man (made "Bigger ").
The story is great, and Hanks' performance is even better.
3 Philadelphia
Hanks won an Oscar for his performance in this film.
He played a lawyer dying of AIDS. He is as convincing in this role as he is in his role as leader of the soldiers in my next choice.
2 Saving Private Ryan
This is one of the only films that stuck with me for days after I saw him. There is a great performance throughout but Hanks leads a group.
This is a must-see film and it's one of Hanks' best performances.
1 Forrest Gump
Any film that can have a catch line like "Life is like a box of chocolates" catch-on for years to be a great film.
I do not know that any other actor in Hollywood could have played this role, and Hanks. He was not Tom Hanks in the movie. He was ... Well, Forrest ... Forrest Gu-UMP.
I have to say that there is another film that deserves mention here. This film is hanging in the abyss between when Hanks made his break-out performances (Big) and his return to performance (League of their own). This is a movie called burbs and it's great. This is not an intellectual in any, but it's funny - funny in parts. And it's still one of my all-time favorites (top 50 anyway ).
Hanna Movie Review
the most disappointing thing about the Hanna is that the theater was not crowded: less than half full, and everyone has loved it. Opening night, no less. Maybe everyone went to see David Gordon Green Your Holiness instead? Even so, people who opted for the Your Holiness probably would not be appropriate for a variety of arthouse thriller directed by the man behind the Pride and Prejudice (2005) and Atonement (2007). This is purely speculation, as all tastes are different. I certainly will be when Your Holiness at some point, but I paid for. Therefore, it is probably debatable, too. Regardless, the fact that the theater has elbow room for me to store my bag in the second place, only a total of probably forty or so people ... It's a bit depressing.
First of all, Hanna is definitely a thriller, the fact that the arthouse thriller is almost irrelevant. The story is strong, the performances are jači.Najjači thing about the film is a return to form, type, for director Joe Wright, is not strictly speaking, as previously made a career out of soft-spoken literary adaptations, but because of his last film, The Soloist (2009), was a critical and financial failure, so it's nice to see him swing in a new direction and give us back his strong directorial sensiblities. One of his trademark long shots accompanied with lots of action -. Elegy to recall the sequence of Dunkirk Atonement
Our story is a bit simple, until eventually all odvija.Mlada girl asked her father in the woods, a skilled assassin and longing for answers to the mystery of her past. Hanna (Saoirse Ronan) is a brilliant and "abnormal" and her father, Erik (Eric Bana), is equally adept. He was learning from her birth, while keeping her safe from the outside world. After the couple leave their cabin in the woods, a CIA agent named Marissa (played with steely brilliance Cate Blanchett) starts a deadly hunt for them. They are classified as dangerous to U.S. security and intelligence, and must be addressed. What began as one man, one day job soon turns into a bloodbath and secrets.
Last year, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails fame is not the result of social networks, and Daft Punk recently created a masterpiece Tron scoring: Legacy. Here, the Chemical Brothers have once again increased both with his score for Hanna, partly by threatening tones meeting with beautiful harmonics and melodies that serve as set-pieces, setting the tone for one of the best musical scores in recent years. And this is just the tip of the technical iceberg, with beautiful nails and sharp editing and inspired by the beautiful cinematography (I grabbed a few Suspiria-infused imagery, as well as some inspired Walter Hill Warriors - it's easy to see that Joe Wright is a fan of the film).
may, however, the most impressive thing about this film is wildly impressive skills of the participants. Eric Bana says to me as the most powerful, commanding attention even when not on camera. His role is relatively small, but I wanted to watch it more often than not, his work is thorough and beautifully realized. Cate Blanchett plays her CIA aloofly as possible. It is important to note that this is not a bad thing, it should be indifferent to questions of the film close to the audience. A glimmer of humanity when it breaks through to the end, it was terrifying discovery would bring. Saoirse Ronan, having worked with Wright before, proves that she is definitely not a coincidence. Her Hanna is intense creation - a young girl is fighting for his life and liberty, all the while learning the ways of wild (and the real world), in one giant mash-up. It reveals the current, human sexuality and honesty of a real relationship, all on their own. I never thought when I watched an actor.
is also worth noting that Tom Hollander, an incredibly funny actor, turns into a terrifying performance as a hitman working for Blanchett undercover, hunting and Hanna to the fullest of his abilities. It adds an extra layer of surrealism to the film an unusually realistic. Even in scenes that take place in a fairytale setting, all we saw was deadly serious and brilliant choreography.
This will be a film that everyone will love, but it is a film everyone should see. Not for its importance in the world - will certainly be a little bit - but it winds up to two things at once: it is escapism at its highest form, and it's nice to say the story with more depth than the trailer would ever let on. Shame, too - perhaps your Highness the crowd could get into this place

Top 10 Best British Movies in the Last 10 Years
If you look in the last decade of British films you'll see the same names appear again and again. Danny Boyle, Guy Ritchie, Neil Marshall ... These British filmmakers have fought wind, rain, mud and general darkness of their island to snap and shove the face of British cinema and the influence of film-makers and goers at the global level.

new wave of gangster caper
Do you still have gangsters molls and jump on a car chest of drawers? Unfortunately not - hence the rise of British Cheeky Urban Gangster caper, as evinced by Snatch, Lock Stock and two smoking barrels and a few other mockney gangster movies ... In fact, director Guy Ritchie has created this new and commercially popular genre almost single-handedly. Attaguy.
new wave of monster / horror film
British director Neil Marshall and Danny Boyle clearly has grown up on a diet of comics and late-night horror movies, too much sugar and not enough vegetables. For all you movie-goers should be grateful. British monster movies in the last ten years have been low on budget but high on cinematography, acting and character-'ve just GOT to say-a-friend twists. Dog Soldiers, severance pay, creep, 28 Days Later (and poor follow-up, 28 weeks later) ... These British films hit theaters globally with his innovative approach to tired old monster genres such as werewolves and zombies. Speaking of which ...
Zom-Rom-Com
Yes, Zom-Rom-com. Worth noting all their own, zombie romantic comedy is a genre-splicing in the best manner, and is fully recently British innovation. Today Zom-Rom-Com is a movie staple, the U.S. is Zombieland its most recent commercial success.
Let's look at some of these mainstream films that put Britain back on the cinema-goer's map.
28 Days Later - 2002
to 28 days later, the zombies do what their master George A. Romero them to do. Everyone knew a zombie walking slowly and looking brainnnnsss, because Dawn of the Dead is so.
Danny Boyle film opens with an eerie and inspired by the scene promising something new - a loner in hospital scrubs, walking empty streets destroyed and abandoned in London. There is something powerful in the picture let grad.Film ended with zombies who could have been, or me, or your loved one - normal people, but sick - and quickly. So frighteningly fast. Do update the zombie format, this British movie monster focused on what people actually paint today - diseases, chaos, poverty and the unknown. A zombie who could escape. Suddenly the world woke up and realized it was more than one way to handle the zombie genre. Following the success of 28 Days Later zombie films followed thick and fast.
Dog Soldiers - 2002
Why would the zombies get all the attention? Werewolves are not fun? Neil Marshall is throwing us a bone this low-budget, but it looks fantastic werewolf horror film set in the lush wilderness of Scotland. Wait, you did not know about werewolves? Sorry spoiler - but the film was made eight years ago. To be fair, the film ends with a tasty werewolf related to land a twist for those who do not know. What really made this movie was fantastic, gritty humor and interplay between grizzled soldiers sent to investigate the disturbance, and the film also helped moodily-shot atmosphere. A must for fans of horror and action -. But to avoid if you're not a fan of Gore, however, delicious and can be considered to be pierced
Shaun of the Dead - 2004
And here we have it ... Zom-Rom-com! Real love letter to Romero's Dawn of the Dead, with plenty of jokes in the movie jerk. Shaun of the Dead is an international star of everyone's favorite ginger, Simon Pegg (Star Trek, Run Fat Boy Run). This film is witty, clever, charming, funny ... all the zombie film has no right to be. His courage and humor is a box office hit on both sides ribnjak.Izbor film for anyone who likes zombies, romance, and comedy - and still a pretty safe bet for anyone who hates all of the above. The ultimate in cross-genre success.
Children of Men - 2006
Children of Men. Is sci-fi? Is it drama? Thriller? Action film? It is all these things and nothing. Sci-Fi haters believe that a beautiful and unforgettable film. Action movies were delighted powerful dust and roar of the battle scene. Everyone has moved Michael Caine as an old hippie revolutionary, and a strong handle the concept of pregnant women in a nearby future where fascists fighting revolutionaries, refugee camps abound, and children are more. Once again, the film industry shone through to show a beautiful, deserted rural England and society torn apart by poverty and the apocalyptic disease.
Casino Royale - 2006
It would be difficult to list the top ten British films in the last ten years, without namechecking Casino Royale - a brand new movie makeover for England's favorite son, James Bond. Daniel Craig is the inspired choice - foolish, arrogant, violent and ... blonde. And even the goal of the prigodu.Svijet far from bland James Bonds of the past, and more in line with the expectations of an action film goers today. And what's more - M is a woman! Good heavens! Regardless of the following? Audiences flocked to see this renewed creation. Unfortunately, currently it looks like James Bond franchise was winding down ...
Son of Rambow - 2007
Imagine a long, semi-perfect English summer in 1980. This is only a semi-perfect, because even the long, hot summer, as a young schoolboy is a hormone hell. Two miss-matched boys are brought together to create their own version of Rambo sequel. They've got a bad camera and an old abandoned wasteground, and their remake is by no means a big budget production of the original film. However, when the whole school joined in, and when children start doing their own stunts, from kissing to an explosion, it turns into a coming-of-life cult film as well as classical and adult-friendly as Stand By Me, with a distinctly bittersweet British the slope.
Slumdog Millionaire - 2008
Danny Boyle the darling of British cinema, changing genres and finding new slants on old ideas that continue to satisfy an audience that requires a lot more today than their popcorn blockbuster movies. By 2008, Danny Boyle's film world's few success under his belt. It was Trainspotting, black comedy in which Ewan McGregor (Star Wars) is his name. There are 28 Days Later (zombie thriller, see above). It also is Sunshine, one of the few films Danny Boyle should not be considered top 10 best British film -. Great, but flawed atmospheric sci-fi thriller about some astronauts fly their ship in the dying sun to save the Earth
The total break from the genre, Danny Boyle's next film, Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire, the world by storm. It is a rags to riches story of 18-year-old orphan on the slum streets of Mumbai, India, whose life is so unusual that miraculously gives answers to questions on TV quiz show "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" and earns him a fortune - and the attention of police. On paper, you might think that this is 'homework' film - a film you know you should see, but I feel it too seriously to be truly enjoyable. Cast your doubts aside. You feel good without sugar sweet, Slumdog Millionaire has changed the lives of its protagonists (young female lead was taken from the Mumbai slum and gave salary, fame and education co-star). Also likely to change the perception of fate, poverty, slums, India, and TV quizzes.
The Moon - 2009
to move, Danny Boyle - is the second time British director received a crack at the whip? Moon is the debut of Duncan Jones movie - and it won a BAFTA, 17 other film awards and countless nominations. The Moon is a story about a lonely blue-collar astronaut Sam Bell, who is fighting to stay as healthy as he reaches the end of his three year shift, desperate to return home to Earth, his wife and his daughter. As the movie tagline says: "250,000 miles from home, the hardest to face ... is yourself." The Moon is full of surprises land, sterile beauty of the moon, incredibly fine works from the offer (including Kevin Spacey as a computer), with music to die for. Month not just sci-fi film - it's a film about what it means to be human. And yes, it has some good Gags in it. Nothing will prepare you for a month ... Except, perhaps, 2001: Odyssey svemiru.Mora see.
Sherlock Holmes - 2009
Sherlock Holmes is the latest offering from director Guy Ritchie, Madonna Ex Mrs. Ritchie has established itself as a world-class with earlier successes such as Lock, Stock and two smoking barrels (love letter to the gangster caper, updated to the end of the British East neighborhood for modern audiences ).
action comedy film, Sherlock Holmes proves that when on form and not indulging himself, Guy Ritchie can produce a perfect action film.Film benefits from inspired casting: Downey Jnr (Sherlock Holmes) and Jude Law (Dr. Watson) re-process and the dynamics between the duo is so loved and clearly having fun, the actors say in interviews that they actually have a bromance, so well that the gel together as co-lead. Guy Ritchie's directorial quirks is placed on the right to use in the film, with jump-cuts and camera tricks, and added to the meat of the plot, and not spoiling. Finally, a big budget is done justice with some great cinematography - if you want to see successful, foggy Victorian London and have no time for coffee, watching Sherlock Holmes is the best way to do this. One of the most enjoyable examples popcorn movie of the decade.
Harry Brown - 2009
Directed by Daniel Barber is a relative newcomer to the British film scene. He looked great American films and plays covers dirty side of life (such as a wire) and thought - how it can be upgraded, to offer the same action, the same drama, same excitement, the same grandness of scale - but from a uniquely British perspective?
Cue Harry Brown. What the British public the most current colors? Chavs, probably - a derogatory term for poor and violent youth subcultures. Harry Brown is a fantasy of revenge chav - the story of the old veterans in the British slum property, which sees the social destruction caused to their community by chavs and decides to take matters into their own hands. The British National Treasure starring Michael Caine and a joy to watch as age pensioners who refuses to back down.
Most of these films received worldwide criticism and packed cinema seats around the world. You May have missed some of them first time round -. Now is the chance to get a chance next time you hire out Blu-Ray or DVD
Do not be put off by the British accents, because you will not be disappointed - you will find yourself immersed in the lights, camera action top ten British films in this decade
Third World Cop is a Great Movie to Learn How to Speak Jamaican
I recently watched the movie Third World Cop, and I must say it was a great movie for the student Jamaican slang or anyone that wants to learn to speak Jamaican. The film is based in Kingston, Jamaica, and all Jamaican cast is made up of renowned artists such as Elephant Man, dancehall and Ninjaman and many prominent Jamaican actors and actresses. For anyone who saw the dancehall queen, many cast members also play a role in the Third World Cop, such as Paula Campbell, Mark Danvers, and Audrey Reid.
film is a story about the police from Kingston who goes by the name Capone (Paul Campbell). Capone is transferred back from Port Antonio to Kingston in an effort to breakdown of organized crime happening in the neighborhood Dunga Kingston where Capone was originally from. After returning to Kingston, Capone was tasked to investigate gun smuggling in the neighborhood. When Capone goes Dung, learns that his best friend's younger brother, a shabby, is a great community leader. Although, a shabby, is a hero in the community, it is much more involved in the underground business of the people would have us believe. When she learns that seedy Capone is involved, he does everything he can to stop and help the seedy criminal kingpins and stop arming the neighborhood.
I do not want to give too much away the film, because I really think it holds a special place for people looking to learn how to speak Jamaican. No, the film will never be a Hollywood blockbuster and not the best film quality, but there are so many other gems in this film. From the perspective of language, this movie is in the top 5 for the Jamaican žargon.Jezik generally used throughout the film's jargon and the DVD allows you to use subtitles, so this really helps to build the razumijevanju.Najpoznatiji slang phrase in the movie "We are small Tings, Tings Nuh we run. "pronunciation that native speakers, so you hear the words in the right context and emotion. We also see people greeting each other and just everyday interaction. This is invaluable and makes the film worth watching.
from a cultural standpoint, the film also throws light on the "bad man" element of Jamaica. This is a recurring theme in many films of Jamaica. "Bad Man" is a gangster for all intensive purposes, and many of Jamaican films that are not focused on growth put emphasis on the Jamaican gangster element. With the "bad man" view of the police role in Jamaican society and the esteem or the lack thereof community for them. Finally, like most movies based in developing countries, has an insight into the struggles of people trying to make something of themselves, but still maintains a number of other forces.
All in all, I say this movie is well worth your time and really worth buying. As mentioned, the film is invaluable in learning to speak Jamaican. I highly recommend this film.
And the Oscar for Best Movie Goes To - Crash of Racial Stereotypes and Humanitarian Babel
Last year we saw Crash escapes with Oscar, and is acclaimed not only the best film of the year, but for its exposure of race relations, bias and stereotypes in American society. This year, Hollywood has a chance, created incredible teaching tools that can be used to raise our unconscious biases and stereotypes, which can lead us to recognize the unique, individual features of others.
Crash is a film that makes us the second and third look at our own prejudices. Crash involves several stories with the basic theme of prejudice and stereotypes that exist in today's society: white veteran cop who is biased against blacks, a white store owner's gun, which is biased against the Persians, a white district attorney's wife who is a stereotype of Latinos, black car thieves who are bias against whites, black police detective who stereotype Hispanics, and the list goes on. Each of the characters who acted on their own prejudices are transformed into movie characters, when they terminate their biases and to meet others' uniqueness.

...Researchers have discovered that human beings have an unconscious bias. Research conducted by Stanford University concluded that even when we think that we compensate for our biases, it is not something that can be easily removed, or a factor in our decision because it operates unconsciously. We are far better at spotting bias in others than in ourselves. Researchers at Stanford University study concludes that there is an assumption that our own golden rule of objectivity works well for themselves and others' rules do not work for njih.Bias Blind Spot: Perceptions of bias in self versus Other (2002) The same person who is fairly objective when you judge for yourself can be very biased when assessing others or vice versa. And contrary to expectations, a successful career built on making carefully reasoned decisions can enhance the illusion of objectivity, such as a lawyer.
We received prejudices and stereotypes from our environment, family, friends, neighbors, music, television, movies and what we read, as well as our own experiences. These experiences begin when we have a very small djece.Pravila from our culture is not what is written, but they learned from those around us, and as children we accept these unwritten rules without question. In order to eliminate bias, we must begin to raise awareness on a conscious level and begin to recognize our prejudices. Only an awareness of how we react to the "other" is vital to breaking the patterns of conflict caused by the creation of bias. We should not be intimidated by engaging in a discussion of bias and stereotypes. It should be recognized that the familiar scripts do not apply, and modify our behavior accordingly communications. Attention must be paid to the unique, individual features of others.
How do films such as Crash and Babel, can be used to help us get in touch with our unconscious biases? Do not be intimidated by engaging in a discussion of bias and stereotypes that are shown in these films. Explore changes that occur with each character as they begin to set aside their stereotypes of each other and begin to recognize the unique and individual features of others. Start paying attention to how we communicate with ethnic and racial groups that are shown in the movies. Expand our understanding and improve our sensitivity to these races and nationalities. Avoid generalizing about cultures based on past information or observations, the data only apply to a situation in which you received it. Create opportunities to interact with people from different cultures, ethnic backgrounds, religions, and abilities. Eventually we realize that transforms attitudes and behaviors can be challenging and takes time. Crash and Babel were filmed in one day.
